Ánne Mággá Wigelius grew up in the Northern part of the country, alongside one of Norway´s biggest salmon rivers. She discovered her passion for acting playing a part in «Kautokeino Rebellion» in 2007 directed by Nils Gaup, and has been working with theatre and film ever since. She received "Drømmestipendet", a scholarship given to young talents within art and culture, and has previously worked at Beaivváš Sami National Theatre as Nikio in "Nikio and The Big Samurai " with director and choreographer Indra Lorentzen and as Ellen in "1852"  with director Alex Scherpf.

After finishing a bachelor degree in acting in Norway, she was hired by the French director Philippe Genty to play the visual performance "Forget Me Not". The play toured around the world for three years and became a huge success. It was nominated to "Theatre du Palmarés" award twice in France in the categories «Prix du Spectacle Public» (Best Public Show) in 2013 and «Molière de la Création Visuelle» (Best Visual Creation) in 2014.

Ánne Mággá Wigelius has also acted in two “Nordic Noir” tv-series: “Monster” directed by Anne Sewitsky and Pål Jackman and “The River” created by Arne Berggren and Kristine Berg.

“With some of Norway’s most established and respected talent behind the scenes, coupled with fresh new on-screen talent and a darker twist on the more usual Nordic Noir content, ‘Monster’ has been piquing interest ever since it went into production.”

"NIKIO AND THE BIG SAMURAI"

DIRECTED BY INDRA LORENTZEN

«The debut of Ánne Mággá Wigelius is absolutely fantastic. She completes the role as the young and impatient Nikio perfectly; with joyful energy, youthful defiance and vulnerability and wonder. She has full control all way through and plays the performance as if it was the most natural thing in the whole world. Perfect for the role».
